Allied Passage Translations’ owner, Alicia Passfield, is a graduate student and French teaching assistant enrolled in the Master’s of Translation program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, one of the few programs of its kind in the US. She plans to finish her studies there in May of 2013.
In the fall of 2011, the newly-minted APT took on its first clients, thanks to outsourcing by the UWM Language Services Department. APT is looking forward to continuing this rewarding professional relationship throughout the next several years.
Alicia graduated Cum Laude from Knox College in June of 2007 with a degree in Modern Languages. During her time there, she took advantage of study abroad opportunities in Barcelona, Spain and Besançon, France, familiarizing herself with the language and culture. In August of 2009, she returned to France as an English Language Teaching Assistant and passed the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) nivea C1 French proficiency exam.
In her free time, Alicia loves to travel, read, and bake.
